Rain

Today I want to start by saying there's a light and gentle rain falling after two perfect sunshiney days.
I am grateful for this as I know my plants will be.

My legs are tired following a big walk (for me) yesterday but I have stuff to do so I have to suck it up as only a princess can do.
Visitors for dinner tonight...roast lamb  roast veges, mint sauce and gravy. Sounds good eh!
Watch me stuff it up somehow. One or the other will end up being cold Im sure but hey  we cannot be perfect in every way unless we're Mary Poppins can we?
I often think about how I'd be if I were to move back to the big smoke but I know I cannot. I adore my peace and tranquility not to mention the raucous galahs and cockatoos that visit. The sound of rain on my roof would be lost amidst the traffic noises so I shall stay put for now.
I know I am fortunate to have such stunning views from my home. I only wish Murray was still here to share it with me.
He was such a great human. Gentle, kind, friendly and generous are just a few descriptive words of his character.
He was an altruistic man who cared greatly for those around him, especially those with brain cancer in the future, hence his willingness to undergo trial after trial to try and find a way of breaking the chain and slowing the devastating effects it has on individuals  wherever they may be.
So today I am grateful for the rain, the leg (boneless) of lamb I will shortly place in my oven for a slow cooking experience, my beautiful extended family, some of which are coming for dinner tonight, and most importantly my husband, who taught me that love has no boundaries, that humility should be in our hearts and that we should all love one another.
